<p>Die <b>Buchsbaumartigen</b> (Buxales) sind eine <a href="Ordnung_(Biologie)" title="Ordnung (Biologie)">Ordnung</a> innerhalb der <a href="Bedecktsamer" title="Bedecktsamer">Bedecktsamigen Pflanzen</a> (Magnoliopsida). Sie nehmen innerhalb der <a href="Eudikotyledonen" title="Eudikotyledonen">Eudikotyledonen</a> eine basale Stellung ein.

<p>Es sind <a href="Holz" title="Holz">verholzende</a> oder <a href="Krautige_Pflanze" title="Krautige Pflanze">krautige Pflanzen</a>. Die Laubblätter sind ganzrandig. Die Blüten sind eingeschlechtig, die Arten entweder einhäusig (<a href="Mon%C3%B6zie" title="Monözie">Monözie</a>) oder zweihäusig (<a href="Di%C3%B6zie" title="Diözie">Diözie</a>) getrenntgeschlechtig.
